Origin (1971)
Hi-Lift began with a single second-hand forklift operated by founders Eric & Susan Chang in Port Moresby. Their focus on honest service and “another good move” for every client quickly earned a loyal customer base.
Expansion into 2PL & 3PL (1980's – 1990's)
With the logistics landscape evolving, we expanded our service offering to include second- and third-party logistics (2PL/3PL), offering warehousing, distribution, and basic transport solutions.
4PL Capabilities (2000's)
Recognising the need for integrated, end-to-end logistics management, we moved into 4PL territory — offering strategic oversight, technology systems, and customs-integrated operations.
Generational Transition (2010)
Hi-Lift Company evolved into a multi-generational family-owned group, bringing a blend of legacy wisdom and modern leadership into the business.

Investments into bonded depots, reefer parks, and compliance-focused infrastructure solidified our position as a trusted national logistics partner.
